Mid India Board of Education (MIBE)of Nurses League of CMAI

The Christian Medical Association of India is Registered Under Societies Regn. Act of 1860 Reg. No. 17 of 1938-39 and Bombay Public Trust No. F:549 (N).

MIBE started in 1926 and is an Examination Board in Nursing recognized by the INC Act 1947 , No XLVIII of 1947 under THE SCHEDULE- Part 1 (Recognized qualifications). Currently MIBE has 18 GNM Schools and 7 ANM Schools affiliated spread across the seven States of Central India. MIBE works for 'Excellence with Social Relevance' in the field of Nursing Education in Central India where the standard of basic education struggles and is questionable.

Objectives of MIBE

• To pursue highest standards of Nursing Education that will promote excellence in Nursing practice consistent with Christian principles.
• To prepare nurses to participate effectively in the National health care delivery program.
• To be one of the controlling bodies of nursing education under the Nurses League of the Christian Medical association of India.
• To provide leadership within the nursing profession through the provision of higher education and a holistic approach to health.
• To encourage research and innovation in an effort to stimulate professional progress.

Affiliation to the Board:

Christian Health institutions that are non-profit, voluntary in nature and who are members of the Christian Medical Association of India or the Catholic Health Association of India shall be eligible for affiliation to the Board whether or not they have a formal School of Nursing.

Non- CMAI member institutions that have been permitted by CMAI Board of Management to access training facilities can affiliate their schools to the Board. Such institutions shall not be the members of MIBE and all its Standing Committees.
