Dialysis Technology Tutors Course, Christian Medical Association of India, has celebrated its first graduation day on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in the CSI Retreat Centre, Kanyakumari, at 3.30 pm. The dignitaries of the ceremony were the General Secretary of the CMAI, Dr. Priya John, the Chief Guest, Dr. Ninoo George (DTTC) Convenor, CMAI, Mr. Lyric Abraham, AHP and CEB Secretary, Mr. Paul Patrick (Chairman, AHP), Mr. Santhosh, Regional Coordinator for Tamil Nadu, and Mr. A.P. Berry, Course Coordinator.
The celebrations started with a prayer by Rev. Abel Vethamani, and after the prayer, a song was sung. The Scripture portion was read by Ms. Priya. The dignitaries adorned the dais, and after the customary invocation, the AHP and CEB Secretary, Mr. Lyric Abraham, welcomed all the dignitaries and graduates. The secretary felicitated the guest with a bouquet and introduced them to the gathering. The brief introduction of the DTTC program, the introduction of graduates, and the brief report presented by Mr. A.P. Berry (Course Coordinator). During Dr. Ninoo George, Convenor, DTTC Course address, he pointed out that learning is a continuous process. We must need hard work, dedication, skills, and commitment to the work.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Priya John, shared her experience that once when she was admitted in a hospital with severe pain of shoulder dislocation, the comforting words, caring touch and smiling face of the radiographer, really relieved her and it helped her to relax and the technician helped her to bring back the shoulder in position without much strain and pain, she emphasized the importance of good communication in our profession and she urged each tutor to enlighten their students by imparting values. Ms. Reena Mathew shared her study experience with happiness. Around six tutors attended the ceremony to celebrate their success. They can enjoy each and every moment of the ceremony comfortably. The speech was followed by the certificate distribution to the graduates by the dignitaries on the dais. The 10 students in the 2022 batch total 6 students who were awarded Tutor Diploma on that day by the Guest of Honors, and the other 4 students collected their Tutor Diploma from the administrative office.
After the certificate distribution, AHP Secretary appreciated Mr A.P Berry for all his efforts to start the Dialysis Diploma Course in 2013 and initiating the Tutor Diploma Program in 2022, on behalf of CMAI Dr Priya General Secretary and Dr Ninoo George Convenor DTTC honoured Mr A.P Berry with an Appreciation Memento. The course coordinator then declared the graduation day closed. Mr. Lyric Abraham delivered the vote of thanks, and the function ended with prayer, followed by the cultural program and photo session, followed by dinner.
