Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI) is an association of Christian healthcare institutions and individual health professionals in India. It is a charitable, non-governmental organization and an educational society, serves as a Christian network of hospitals and healthcare professionals promoting medical care in hard-to-reach communities through its member institutions or by direct technical inputs. CMAI works with 275 Member Institutions.
Position Overview: One position is vacant to be based at CMAI headquarters, New Delhi.
Nature of job: Full time; Manage the day-to-day affairs of the finance dept, to coordinate and supervise the accounts. Should have good communication, leadership & networking skills, excellent team player and proficiency in computers.
Reporting to: The General Secretary, CMAI.
Qualifications and requirements: MBA in Finance or M. Com plus 7-10 years’ experience, preferably in an NGO. Strong foundation in accountancy, Tally and MS Office is required. Working knowledge of payroll software, knowledge of Income Tax, FCRA, GST, Statutory compliances for NGOs and labor laws are essential to carry out the responsibilities.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day affairs of the finance department.
· Supervise and guide State offices and ensure statutory compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
· Thorough knowledge of statutory requirements like FCRA, Income Tax, Charity Commissioner, GST, ESI, PF etc. and online filing of returns.
· Pay roll management & Assets Management.
· Implementation of internal control systems as per the organization’s policies.
· Make regular Budget variance reports, burn rate reports etc.
· Support in developing budget estimations for any new opportunities that arises related to projects in close coordination with the Program Team.
· Preparation of yearly Budget and its control & adhere to process around Cost allocations to Grants.
· Attending the Board meetings and presentation of MIS
· Provide supervision and ensure to adhere procurement process of organisation and provide supervision of IT infrastructure & requirements at the state level & building capacities of finance staff.
· Finalization of Balance sheets of all units.
· Any other responsibility as assigned from time to time by the Organization.
