MD (Gen. Practice) and FCAMS – 2009

The Fellow Christian Academy of Medical Sciences (FCAMS) & MD Gen. Practice (Tribhuvan University). Postgraduate degree level, three-year residency courses especially designed for doctors in mission hospitals, voluntary agencies and in private practice, to undergo ‘multi speciality’ training (Medicine, Surgery, Paediatric, Ob & Gynae and allied subjects) and primary and secondary level health-care

Sponsored by CMAI; Tribhuvan University, Nepal; Christian Medical College, Vellore; Christian Medical College, Ludhiana; Miraj Medical Centre and New Mexico University are collaborating in this programme. The CAMS has linkage with academic centres in India and abroad.

Candidates can register for MD (GP) and FCAMS at Tribhuvan University has recognized our training programme. Up to six selected FCAMS candidates may enroll for MD (GP) of the University. Minimum qualifications: MBBS with MCI registration.

Open and sponsored candidates are eligible to apply. Those who desire sponsorship, for which preference is given, apply to your sponsors in advance to recommend your candidature for the course. Hospitals, missions and organisations can sponsor candidates. Monthly stipend available.

The prospectus and application form will be available from the undersigned on payment of Rs 150/- by D/D in favour of CMAI payable at banks in Vellore. Completed applications should be sent in by April 30.
